The driving force behind the Scott Solace eRIDE is its TQ HPR50 Mid Motor drive system. TQ is a German company with tons of experience in the field and they teamed up with Scott to create one of the most advanced eBike motors yet. It has an unprecedented weight to torque ratio of 1.8 kg for 50 Nm. The motor also uses a harmonic gear system which allows for a reduction in size as well as an increase in accuracy. With a diameter of just 8cm, the motor is barely noticeable. It leads to a more natural pedaling sensation as well as near silent operation. Use the TQ E-Bike App to tune your drive unit, alter pedal response, and customize your display. The app comes with suggested motor tuning and is very simple to use.
